What about the discoloration of epoxy floor coatings?
- 2019-09-28-

Epoxy floor paint is easy to maintain and wear-resistant, withstand voltage, high strength and solid texture. It not only has functional requirements, but also has decorative effects. With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the market demand for epoxy flooring has gradually increased, and the development speed of epoxy floor coatings has exceeded the imagination of some industry experts.
Although epoxy flooring has many advantages, there are still certain coating defects. Now talk about the problem of discoloration of epoxy floor:
Epoxy floor discoloration refers to the fading of a color paint or the change from one color to another. The most common zuiui has already occurred on the floor construction or when storing materials. Of course, there are other causes of discoloration.
cause:
1. The difference in pigment density causes the density to sink and the density to rise, resulting in pigment delamination;
2. The metal powder pigment is corroded by the residual free acid, causing the pigment to turn black green;
3. The acid value of the varnish is higher than that of the stored iron drum, which makes the color darker;
4, the material's weather resistance is not good, it will turn yellow when exposed to sunlight;
5, the coating itself undergoes a qualitative change, which causes the inherent tinting strength to decrease, resulting in fading or discoloration;
Solution:
a. Stir the paint thoroughly and evenly;
b. Metal pigments and varnishes are required to be stored separately;
c. Do not use iron drums to install high acid paints;
d. Select resin and pigment as needed. For example, for exterior wall paint, it is necessary to choose better light and heat resistance;
e. Do not choose a pigment that can react chemically with the resin or the host. Mix the two pigments after testing.
